How does the automatic soft close work?
Anyone knows how the auto soft close work? I have TIS and it refers to the striker (the one with 2 bolts on left and right) on the lower lid that meets the latch as the soft auto close system, not the latch itself.
The reason I ask is it makes noise during soft closing, like something is being squeezed. |

I'm not a technical expert on the exact mechanics. However, the automatic soft-close will "suck" the door shut once the user gently presses the door against the frame, or leaves the door ajar.

Soft close on the rera hatch has been standard from Day One...soft close on the doors was introduced around 2008/2009... and yes it bascally pulls the door in via a motorised catch if closed softly... personally when I close a door I close it it's not hard or soft I just close it...
