the EU diesel is different, yet I beleive the US demand (ECO CREDIT?) caught them by surprise. It appears they are building now.so perhaps the shipment of engines finally arrived.

I just checked the CARB website. The data is as good as 10-12. The only X that has CA certification is the X5 M.

It's up to $5,000 per car fine for OEM/Dealers to ship no certifed cars to those states that follow CARB. I'm sure the paperwork is in place, yet I understand they don't want to take the risk.

All reports of the 2011 due date is simply idle rumor at this point. We're still not sure if the standard X5's are getting the X M bumper !
