^ have her take a pic with her camera phone perhaps? Or drive it straight to the dealer when it happens (swap cars with your wife?) and leave the ignition on for them to verify. Can't imagine they would deny you then.

Take a video on your phone of the issue .... Works wonders

It's not the dealer ... It's BMW policy. They have to "see the issue". Before they start replacing hardware

GPSnV1 is on a distinguished road
I keep reminding my wive that her iPhone can take photos but I doubt she would remember how to do a video. Anyway, I have 4 months on the original warranty before this is a lost cause.

If it happens during a week day, see if she can drive straight to a dealer and show them (don't turn off the car). That's what I did.
