Brake Sensor Reset???
I just changed the brakes, rotors and sensor on the rear of my 2002 X5 but my "CHECK BRAKE LININGS" didn't go off. My front brakes are still in great shape.
Does anyone know of a way to reset the "BRAKE" alert manually?

Question. Once you put in a new sensor, which closes the open circuit, should the fault go out? If not wouldn't three restarts of the car reset it?

I have seen it reset after a period of time (not instantaneously) by itself, but the procedure described in the link above turns it off right away.
