Question Do I have a non "runflat" option for 21" 128 Wheels?

Hi,

My UK based 4.8 is running on 285x35x21" Dunlop Runflat tyres on the front and 325x30x21" on the rear.
I seem to be unable to find ANY alternative to my original tyres. !! Is this correct as I would dearly like to move to conventional tyres?

By the way . the Dunlops at the front are quoted at nearly £500 per tyre!

No other alternatives at the moment. Just the Dunlops RTF.

Hope Bridgestone comes out with some less expensive alternatives soon.

Btw, how many miles did you get on your tires before needing to replace them?

hhhm3 is an unknown quantity at this point
For non-RFT, check out Vredestein sessanta.
Excellent dry and wet tires.
I would say better than any tires i owned incl. Z-rated performance Dunlop or Micheline.

Also check tirerack.com for reference on sizing...

I bought the car at 17K miles and it has now done 26K. Do not know the tire useage before I purchased the car. At least I have found a vendor who does the tires (fitted) for £327.

Thanks for info. However I cannot find Vredestein 285 x35 21 anywhere on their site.

Dunlop offers these tires in NON-runflat aswell (exact the same size and tread pattern). I know for sure, since I have these on my car
Ride is MUCH better, but they tend to wear faster. Price was a bit lower than the runflat versions.

Hi, The tyre you refer to does not appear ANYWHERE in any of my searches. Where did you find them?

At my local tire shop over here in Belgium. Had to wait 2-3 weeks for them to arrive.

On my 128’s I went for at the rear Dunlop SP9000 325/30R21 instead of the Sport Maxx. Only discernable difference is the treat pattern. At the front I went with Dunlop Sport Maxx MFS 285/35R21. Both are non-RFT and they do make a difference to the comfort & perceived road grip. Total price for 4 new tyres fitted £1100.

Can you please advise where in the UK I can find these NON runflat tyres you mention as all my searches and approaches to tyre dealers ONLY brings up the Dunlop run flats.
Please let me know as I must buy 2 fronts in the next few days!!!
