FWIW i almost deleted this thread this AM when it had garnered over 100 views and not a single reply. I was beginning to think that Funf Dreisig AG had worn out its welcome or I had pushed the double

How do you know that BMW Desist was not installed during the delay?
Or for that matter, how do any of us know that "Meltdown" is not the beta / 'sleeper code' installed on all previous E70 X5s?
