Running Board Overhang Same or More than stock black trim?

Second guessing my initial pass on the running board option with just ordered 35d. I passed because I hit my calf getting out of the non-running board demo at the dealer everytime.

I have to wear suits to work and get in and out a few times per day and don't need to worry about dirt or mud on the back of my suitpants.

Realizing I like the optional running board look eventhough they would not be functional for me at 6'4" and if I decide later to put it on it will be a grand more at that time with install.

Anyother pro's or con's you can add beyond if the optional running boards jut further out from the side of the car and cause worse leg bumping?
