Did you get an accurate build?

Hi,
Just signed up to this fantastic forum along with the equally good bimmerfest! Ordered an X5 in Sept 21 and am eagerly awaiting arrival of the beast round mid Nov.

Just a couple of q's...
1. For those who have already recieved a brand new x5, did bmw accurately match all your specs i.e. Was their any discrepencies between what you ordered and what you actully got? If so, what did they miss out?

2. Did i ACTUALLY get a good deal??

- X5 3.0d SE
- Beige nevada leather (space grey exterior)
- Media pack (connectdrive + bluetooth phone + CD changer + prof nav)
- Running boards
- Top view camera with folding mirrors
- Sports seats + electric control + sports steering
- Auxiliry heating (YESS!!)

Initially quoted for £47000 ($77000), got it down to £39000 ($64000)! Its outragous how here in euope we gotta pay at least £10000 more for an x5 then our american friends!

Would really appreciate your thoughts...

+1 for accuracy...

2010 X5 35d - built with all options in our request (and I even threw them a curve ball by ordering the Anthracite Roof Liner without the Sport Package).

Thanks for the link jayjay_dee... I don't think I would be too disappointed if they gave us the bamboo trim instead of the walnut as they were the 2 that we couldnt decide over! I would however be pissd if they missed out the auxiliary heating option, that was the deal breaker for me!

Ordered Light Pop, received Walnut. ONLY because I did not want to wait any longer, I accepted. I could've had the dealership change the wood, but was afraid of their quality in replacing all those pieces. Not the end of the world, but would have made a great color combo.

UK Prices: in the good days, a discount of 2-5% is the best you get. During recession, you should get 9-12%. If you push really hard, you get 13%. Anything above 13% is either; (a) unheard of or (b) achieved through a subsidised pay back to the dealer from BMW, there being a deal just now for all vehicle registered before end of November, which could take your deal up to 14-15% at the very, very best. The 17% you have achieved - I've never, ever heard of!!!
