Seen a 35d on the road other than yours?

I have not seen another outside of a dealership yet. If you have, has there been any reactions (thumbs up, sneers, whatever)?

People do have positive comments when they learn my X5 is a diesel.

Just curious.

I'm sure we will more and more now that they're getting delivered. The fact that the damn emblem is a foot long makes it hard to decipher from any distance. I've only seen one but it wasn't a '10... and I only noticed it because we were stopped beside each other at a light (I was in my dad's minivan).

Yes, I've seen one other on the road and talked to someone at the dealership that has one...

What? BMW has already delivered an X5 35d to somebody but me?
I thought we had a deal. BMW was to hold all those 2010 35Ds until I got through bragging about my new 2009 X5 35d. And I ain't close to through braggin' yet bro.

Met another 35d on the windy roads of Paso Robles

After picking up my 35d we decided to check out some wineries in the Paso area (CA), we had stopped to get a bite and to my surprise I see a 2010 35d pulling up. We had a good conversation, he had picked up the car the week before. Apparently someone had ordered the car and backed out and he made the deal instead. Was great to see another 35d, I love it especially all the electronics! Hope they last!!!

Not yet, and I travel quite a bit. I read that for 2009 they only sold about 1400 in the US so until they build more we will remain rare.

I've see one in the wild. It was parked in NYC. BTW, I was at the dealership today to finalize the paperwork. There was not a single X5 on the floor. When I asked my CA, he said he sold the last one earlier today and they have non in stock... And its a large dealership in NJ.
Diesel Guy: I am picking up my 3.5D two days earlier!!! Did you reserve a camera for your skid pad and off road course? I did. Plan to post it after I am back.

Of the six 2009 X5s in the parking lot at work, half are diesels. But all are U.S. spec, despite being in Germany. We must be skewing the averages!

au contraire, mon ami

I own an extremely rare 2009 X5 35d with the ultra sophisticated Titanium Silver with grey interior color combination and classic iDrive controller. Since these are no longer produced, I am unlikely to ever see a duplicate
