The overhead one, behind the console light, is really easy to do. If you then get a remote display, you can thread the wire to anywhere you want to. I have experimented with many positions for my remote display.

I love having my radar hardwired above the rearview and keeps it out of site. The only downside is the sunvisor hitting it, but it's better than having it obstructing my view.

i hardwired mine to the overhead light compartment.. you can easily snap it off and wire it... do a search for exact wiring instructions..
i also have the V1 remote which i installed on the dash... works great!! you no longer notice the visor clipped V1... and you get to keep your eyes ahead...
