General tires
I just put 4 new Grabber UHP non run flat as Allweather tires on my x5 3.0D. I just have a spray and foot airpump in case of... Those tires are inexpensive here in Germany, compared to others, at 146 euros piece in 255/50 W19 XL. Did any of you used those tires already? Thanks Luc |

How are you getting on with them, the price is good and I've seen several favourable reviews. How is wet performance and road noise?

Hi,
Those tires a very good so far. Much, but when I say much I do mean much, comfortable and quieter. Maybe why my wife is thinking that the car works better...We had bad experience with Bridgestone Dueler on wet muddy grass, my wife thought we would never get out, the wheels were just spinning, even with DTC, and it was flat... I've been last week end to the compost field as we cleaned the garden, I drove in muddy grass and not flat, I even did a little detour by large mud puddle, the wheels never spin off, I put gas on mud the car just go, very good grip. I am waiting the snow now.... At first I felt the car less precise in curve, but when I controlled the air pressure it was all 4 wheels the same. This is not good. BMW recommend more pressure at the back, I did it and the car is now back to more normal, even if it is a little bit less sharp as the Dueler but so much more versatile. Those tires are made by Continental US branch so I do believe the quality is good. Luc |
