I have it on my 09 M-Sport. I havn't driven an X5 without it so I can't comment on the difference. It feels numb time to time but with the optional sport suspension it does give you ok feedback. Here in europe its almost a must. The X5 feels as big as a Ford Excursion in Europe.

thanks for all the replies... looks like it's a 50/50 split with all... i think i'll pass for now...
i like the current feel of my default set up on the 08 and it really doesn't feel heavy in parking lots... i guess i was hoping for a unanimous vote here but half doesn't really justify it... thanks again..

I drove X5s so-equipped years ago at a BMW Event, didn't like it. I like it a lot on my mom's 325i, but for some reason the X5's Active Steering is annoyingly light and numb at parking lot speeds. I hope they worked it out since I haven'T driven one since then, but I'd skip it on an X5.
