what were you driving for the "short track drive 1" when you experienced the acceleration lag after braking? I get it too on a non-turbo... wonder if all BMWs really have it.

Yes.. the lag was after braking in the turn, would have been less if I had been down shifting to keep the turbos spun up.. It was typical turbo lag..

Hey great seeing you on Friday. Awesome pics. We are loving our diesel as well. 200 miles now, computer says we are averaging almost 27 mpg on mostly highway driving at 80-90 mph from the factory down to Charleston.

I noticed the turbo lag on the track, but in real life driving it has not been an issue at all.

Only issue we have had so far is watching the valet guy try to figure out the gear shifter. Made me a little nervous at first but they haven't dinged it yet.

Congrats on the new ride. I love your garage as much as I love your X5!

What brand of DVD players did you get? Do you like them? They seem a little on the bulky side, is there a reason for their size?
