E70 Radio removal

Like to know if anyone can provide instructions to remove head unit so i can install 6 cd changer into my car. opened the glovebox and theres no prewire for the car. so i need to purchase the wires and plug them back in to the headunit. Thanks guys

Just curious why you'd want to do that, given the simplicity of adding an iPod. It seems like a lot of work, to add 60 songs, when you can add 30,000 songs for less money, less work, and far more reliability.

CD's are ancient technology, compared to solid state formats. I'd be shocked to see CDs for sale 5-years from now.

Just my two-cents.

One more thing, whether you install a CDC or iPOD kit, you'll need to get it activated by the dealer, which typically involves re-programming by the dealer. You may be charged for upto 2-4hrs of labor.

its simple pull the heater vent trim off using a plastic trim tool or you can just pull it off with the you fingers starting from the bottom of the trim below the lock unlock button above the radio. it will then reveal two screws above the radio. and the trim around the radio may need to come off its a simple clip off. you can pick up a live an earth from the quadlock on the back of the radio for you CD changer powers.
