Any reason not to contract the car before taking delivery - Page 2

Just got a call from my CA and my 35d just arrived at the dealer. Will be picking it up tomorrow.
Here is the timeline:
So I ordered Nov. 10 got a production # same day for a production date of week 50 (2nd week of Dec). Actual production started a week earlier and was completed Dec. 2. Shipped to the carrier for transport on Dec. 5. Arrived in Bay Area Dec. 17. Picking up tomorrow. Can't wait....

Congrats!! So 12 days from when it was shipped to your dealer that's not bad, there still might be hope I get the car before Christmas. My car finished on 12/4 and was shipped 12/10, it looks like it just missed the train your car was on

. There must be some sort of priority system they use, as my car went into production on 11/24, but finished a couple of days after yours.

Yours should probably arrive next week. Or it might have been on same train, but the truck with my car arrived at my dealer first. My dealer is in Concord and my CA called me right away while they are unloading. So you might be hearing from your CA later today... or better yet give him a call.

I ordered mine November 13th and it has not been built yet. I was wondering if yours had the technology package. Apparently there is a delay for that option. I am wondering if that has held up mine from being built yet.

I had technology package, premuim, sports, comfort seats, running boards, roof rails. Seems a long time for yours to be scheduled for build. I ordered only few days earlier than you but had a production date of week50.

I guess your dealer must have had an earlier production slot than mine did. My dealer got eight slots for 35d's the day before my order and they had 4 orders ahead of me that were waiting for slots.

Congrats!! Very nice. How do you like it so far? I called my CA and he still doesn't think I will have mine before Christams

I picked up mine yesterday, very excited that it came in before Christmas. We are getting ready to take it up to Tahoe. Will post some pics when I come back
