Thanks guys. I found my problem by accident. All I have to do is press the brake pedal a little harder. For whatever reason, the pressure that I've used on my othe 5 BMW's with Comfort Access was not quite enough. I'll have the dealer take a look at it, but now that I know, it's really no biggie. It's started perfect ever since.

Mine is garaged at night, but I do take it out when it's cold and don't have any starting problems in very cold weather. Something isn't right... Take it to the dealer...

Let us know what they come up with...

WOW. Diesel technology has come a long way! Back in the 80's I had an Audi 5000s diesel. I live in South Carolina and it rarely gets below freezing, but if it did the Audi would require a dipstick heater to start. The glow plug light would stay on for 60 seconds or more! Even after a full glow, it still would sometimes fail to start. Then when it finally did, the black cloud of smoke was AMAZING!

Yeah, no waiting or smoke. I think diesel fuel has also improved over the years as well.

If I don't want to mount up right away, I put the fob in the cavern, push down on the brake with my left hand and hit the button. Never, ever had a problem starting in So Cal.
