Help, I can't start my brand new 35d
 

Hey guys:

Love the car. Just wish it would start when I push the button. I've had the car 24 hours and when I go to start it, I have to push the start button 5-6-7-8-times before it finally starts. All the electroinics respond fine, but the starter doesn't respond, and then boom, it starts.

Anybody have this experience???

Are you holding the button down or just "flicking" it?

Do you also have your foot on the brake?

I am pushing it in with a single motion, the same way I do in my 2010 M3 and my 2007 X5. Why, do you have a suggestion?

does this thing have glow plugs?

i do not have a 3.5D, but all the diesels i do own require a moment or two for the glow plugs to reach temp for the motor to properly start. is there a wait to start light on the 3.5D?
