They are concentrating on a unit in the back re: liftgate issue. Probably have to wait another week for BMW to get off their _ _ _ to authorize.
How do you KNOW it is BMW taking the time to authorize????

Dealer is telling you this... and it might be true or they may have other jobs they need to get out and figure they can stall you with a "BMW hasn't authorized it" story.

Do they even have the DVD in stock??? Likely no...

Just sayin'

ARD, what you say may be true, but the SA confirmed the part is in stock. While waiting for OK, they were scoping out the liftgate problem, so I think they were addressing my issues.

I have it from a VERY good source that this dealer/service is one of the best around as well as being the delivery dealer. The source is a good friend who is a general sales manager from an out-of-state BMW dealer. The only problem is the distance from my house.

DVD replaced. BIG issue is now the liftgate. So far, can't find parts to repair in the USA, have to ship the parts from Siemans in Germany. BMW will not release the vehicle due to a "safety" concern that the liftgate won't secure properly and leak moisture into the vehicle. Estimate part arrival after 1/1/2010, then install, then re-check. Why can't they get one from Spartenburg?

I am not happy.

I've got about 4500 miles on my '10. I'm getting 23.7 mpg, and I drive it fast off the line. That's driving 70/30 hwy/city. Was getting 24 mpg, but I think I'm using my lead foot more.

The vehicle information system warning came on to change the oil. Dealer also called.

Latest Update

Dealer has had our 35d since 12/18. Rear liftgate part finally arrived from Germany and installed. While re-programing, the entertainment center module decides to take a dump. I don't have an entertainment center so I think it has to do with the idrive display. Whatever. Luck has it the part is in stock and installed but has to go through programming tomorrow.
