X5 mats (UK)

With winter being in full flow, our BEIGE interiored X5 is in desperate need of some new interior floor mats! Ebay seems to provide quite a few variaties of replicas but I wondered if anyone here had any first hand experience with any of them...

Also, does anyone know how much the BMW supplied equivilants cost, and would it be worth getting the replicas over the genuine BMW mats?

Decide between the mats and the liners and stick with BMW brand. Worth the cost in this case.

I put Weathertechs in the X during the winter. They're available in the UK:

WeatherTech Automotive Accessories - Car Mats, Floor Mats, Cargo Liners, Side Window Deflectors and More

International

The weathertech liners fit well if you need the 'bowl' effect. I have the mats from weathertech and they suck. I have had them in six other vehicles but these are so generic in the X5 they are far worse in coverage than the BMW mats.

You can get weathertech with BMW lettering

BMW X5 Floor Liners at Dealerfit.com

I found this after I bought weathertech. I like weathertech esp in the winter here in New England. Lots of salt and sand everywhere.

I have BMW's own rubber mats on my 3.0sd, they are great, take them out and wash them, then hose them down and they are like new. About £40 / 50 at your dealers, you should get 20% off.

Thanks for all the advice guys, I hadnt even thought of the interior 'liners' as an option, they look pretty useful... anyone here have these installed?
Im unsure about the looks of the rubber mats as they seem quite tacky and cheap looking and they may give the interior a "plasticy/rubber" smell... any thoughts?
The BMW manufatured mats might be the best option but I really dont want to spend over £100 ($160) on some MATS!

I can assure you that the genuing BMW mats are not cheap or tacky and do not smell, they are a million times better suited to the X5 then the now standard crap that are impossible to keep looking half decent.

Go and get your dealer to get some for inspection, i would be supprised if they don't have some in stock, most E70's i'v looed at at my local deler have had them at leat in the front.
