214 wheel question

I have a question about the 214 wheel setup. I have an 07 4.8 without the extended wheel arches. My question is, should I get a set of 214 that are 20x10's all around or go with the stag look? I like the aggressive look with the stag setup but I don't like the extended arches. If I was to go 20x10 all around, how would it look? Would it look bad? Does anyone do this and if so, can you post pictures. I don't want to deal with any spacers either.

I wish I took pics before I put on the flares but I can tell you even with the 10" wheels it will stick out slightly for the front stock arch. The rears I don't know for sure if 10" would stick out (most likely yes) - I can tell you I'd rather have it stick out than tucked under... looks much more aggressive. It was very acceptable even before I put the arches on.

Thank you! I wish someone here would show me pictures if they have the 20x10 all around! I have searched but no luck! I just ordered the aero kit and had the body shop give me price for painting all of the black plastic, silver! Can't wait. Also ordered some new running boards! I just want to wheels to look good without the extended flares!

Definitely go with the staggered wheel setup. It looks so awesomely mean in the rear!

See this thread for pics of mine (I've since sold it!) with a set of the staggered OEM 214s with the regular flares. It looks fine with them and you can definitely skip the extended flares if you prefer (and I hear that they've gotten expensive). I did end up adding the flares shortly after these pics were taken, but it's all personal preference I suppose...

Xoutpost member HUK posted pictures with 10" 214's on all fours. There are also pictures of a red X5 with 9" 20's. Run a search and you should find them. I went with four 10" 214's with Yokohama All-Season Parada Spec-X tires and it's a great setup. Doesn't look as aggressive from the back but you can't tell a difference from the side and you get incredible all-season performance. I'm adding flares because the front tire throws debris on the car. If you are not looking for an all season setup then I would go staggered but If you are then check out HUK's picts.

^ just a note, even with the flares there will be mud on your front doors (more noticeable with dirty snow, not so much with just rain)... nothing except mudguards on the fronts will prevent that.
