very nice, along with the video on the 7 series...absolutely worth every penny if you are not from NYC (people here learn to parallel park even before they say "Ma")

Any other requests beyond top view?

The top view is truly amazing, especially parking here in S.F. I can get the car into spots that I couldn't even get my civic into, all without any fear of curbing a wheel. I've had backup cameras for years on other cars, but they were all but useless.

This system is worth every penny.
Hi ABMW,

If you look at video, it is parallel parking by itself, do we have that on ours with tech package ? I don't think we do.

Thanks for your offer about video, can't wait to see it.

I am picking my 35d tomorrow, can you answer my questions in other thread ?

I enjoy reading your posts.

So this is a new option for '10 models? I'm still confused.

I don't have my X5 yet, but I believe we don't have parallel park technology, we just have topview. ABMW is talking about just that one, I guess.

Oh ok... I just did some further research on google and read that top view was added for '10 models. as for parallel parking I haven't read that yet. perhaps that's for the new 5er?

The top view offered by the X5, is FAR more precise and has a full Top-View of the rear bumper. The black stripe, in this freeze-frame is not present on my top-view and I can position the rear bumper to within inches (even less than an inch) of an obstacle.

I own a 2010 35d with tech-package. My vehicle was built in early December/09.

No auto-parking features are offered on the 35d or any X5 for that matter. There is an auto-park feature offered on the 7-series, I believe.
