I don't know how all of your tyres turn on ice but my Summer 20 " Bridgestone dueler are like ice skating..... unless you are cirque de soleil then forget it.... OK during the day with snow conditions its not such a big problem... but during the night with ice conditions its like a roller coaster...

Yeah I had no problems with 20s in the snow! Obviously ice is a different story, no matter what tyre you got your gonna be sliding ! Don't worry bout how much fuel will cost, when your spending that sort of money on a car getting money for the fuel shouldn be an issue!
