Got owned by 2010 RR Sport SC!!

I was at a red light and the new 2010 Range Rover sport SC pulls up besides me. I was busy picking a song to play, but when the light turns green the guy floors it so I decided to see how fast it is (Planning on getting a 2010 Range Rover SC).
I was maybe a second late, but by the time I reached quarter mile, the guy was probably another quarter mile or more ahead.

Is the 510HP that much faster than a 4.8 X5?
BTW, I am comparing the X5 M and 10 Range Rover Supercharged Autobiography for my next purchase...

a little bit confusing, were you driving your x5m or your 4.8 x5? And yes there is a big difference between a 4.8 and a RRSC Sport (140hp more). The x5m would have been a better match.

X5M (Unladen) 5368 Lbs
RRS SC (Total) 5891 Lbs
(Gross) 7055 Lbs

Range Rover is heavier....by how much, not sure. But obviously the 140HP is a big factor.

Unfortunately in the X5 4.8. I would assume the X5 M is no competition with the Range Rover as it has a 0-60 in the mid 4.* and the RR is in the high 5.*.
HP wise 510 and 555 does not seem like much of a difference.

With 510 HP, that is one slow Range Rover.
Hard choice between the 2 IMO!!

For those who want the ultimate performance Range Rover Sport, there is now the all-new LR-V8 5.0L Supercharged, which is propelled from rest to 60 mph in an impressive 5.9 seconds
