2012 X5 E70N 35dx according to REALOEM. is #H8 12V 35W2 07119906503
RealOEM.com * BMW E70N X5 35dX HEADLIGHT PARTS

Nice shinchan! How come it looks like the top portion of the halo is not lit or is that just from the curvature of the housing?

Why do we see the inner (left side) lense having a bulb inside it?
Doesn't look good, because the whole lense (not just the ring) lights up.
The inner lense is supposed to be black.

The 615 has "4" 3-WATT LED's on each device . I found that the older version has only 2x3 watt LED per device!

This is because of my camera. I am not a real good photographer.
What you see is a reflection from the super bright white LED light from the outside corona "ring" It might be possible to dim those LED because they are extreme bright. It is a head-turner in my neighborhood when I drive around at sunset :-)

Thanks.
I have seen dozens of pictures of LUX and other aftermarket corona rings and they look same - "filled".
This is not just pictures. A couple days ago, I saw an M3, in the next lane, and it had the aftermarket rings, too. The inner lense looked exactly like in the picture - as if there was a bulb inside. The inner ring looked more like a filled circle, not a ring. I stayed with the M3 and looked carefully, and it looked "filled" from all angles.

You don't get this from OEM LED corona rings from any angle, despite the OEM rings being brighter than anything aftermarket out there.

Maybe it's just me

No, it is not just you:-) There is no way to get close to the OEM corona ring look and it has nothing to do with the bulb but it has to do with the design. The one I use seems to me the closes in brightness if standing right in front of the car. When looking from the site, the rings are barley noticeable. (Not so on the OEM ones) They look bright even from the side (90 degree angle). I think they use a different material to make those rings "glow" and that is something you cannot copy even if you put an 35Watt HID bulb in.
