Call him back and tell him that since he apparently cannot supply the promised mats on a timely basis, he can just cut you a check for $120 and you'll buy yourself some good aftermarket mats.

Had the same issue with "no floor mats" 12/09 purchase of X5 4.8. Paid $ 130.00 for it, was delivered 4 weeks later.
No problem with my 535i when I got it 8/09, floor mats where on it already.

Picked my 35d at PCD end of December and it came with Black carpeted non-logo mats. Wasn't expecting them when I got an email from the PCD folks saying mats weren't included with the X5. So I am not sure what changed.

Quote from the email...

Floor Mats
Please note that the following vehicles do not come equipped with floor mats from the factory: X3, X5, X6, Z4, 1 & 3 series vehicles.
- If you would like floor mats to be in your vehicle prior to delivery, please contact your BMW Client Advisor from whom you ordered it. They can submit an order for floor mats and other accessories through our parts department no later than 2 weeks prior to your scheduled delivery date.

I replaced them with the BMW/Weathertech liners front and back ($145) since I get out in the elements a lot and wanted the extra coverage they provide.

My X5 35D that I picked up on January 22nd came with carpet mats that did not have a BMW logo. It cane from the factory that way as did all other 2010 X5 35D's that my dealer has received.

Are you sure they don't come with floor mats? I've never heard of a car company not including floor mats with their vehicles? If that info is correct, so be it, but I'm shocked.

It really depends on a person's preference.

Carpet is supposedly more comfortable. While all weather is easier to clean.

Since my interior is black, technically either one works for me. But I prefer the all weather for those unexpected rainy days or liquid items spilled.
