I'm actually comfortable with the way it accelerates. I had a modded 335i coupe prior to this and that thing was beastly. But I take into consideration that this is an SAV and it's purpose it to transport more people and haul/tow equipment so I'm not expecting any track performance from it. I'm satisfied as I wouldn't want to travel at high speeds in this heavier vehicle... I hope that helps.

You know it! Tips and Flares are waiting at home and ready to install once the car arrives. Just waiting for the Lux H8 to ship.

My thoughts precisely. And I'm also coming from a 335i. I'll report my driving impressions soon. It's gonna be the first vehicle without a manual tranny for me.

I enjoy the comfort from the bigger ride. It will be modded eventually just taking it slowly this time.

Got my 3.0 yesterday.

In two words: It's awesome! I was actually very surprised by how responsive the engine is. And I'm saying that coming from a 335i! I don't understand people who say that the 3.0 is "underpowered." Yes, it's not a vehicle for drag racing, but it accelerates just fine whether it be a city road or a highway. Two thumbs up! (the only thing I would change is the standard steering wheel, which is a bit large and thin; I guess next time I'll order the sport package).

Side note: on the way to the dealership, I got a chance to ride in a 35d X5. The vibration and engine noise at idling and low speeds were pretty annoying. So, now I'm happy that I didn't order the diesel.
