Didn't get an E70...but I am back to BMW :)

Test drove an X5 and an X6 Hybrid this weekend. The X6 Hybrid was shockingly fast, but it just seemed odd to have such an engine rumble and blazingly fast acceleration in a "green" car. Really wanted to fall in love with the E70, but I just could not get the bitter taste out of my mouth from by bought back '07 3.0si and my almost as bad '08 4.8i. Also, the E70s (and 2 X6s) they had at the dealer were ALL hooked to battery chargers. Not a good sign, since the other models on the large showroom floor did not have chargers.

Today, I took delivery of a beautiful 2010 750i. Graphite Metallic, with black nappa leather. Convenience pkg, camera pkg, ceramic controls, rear and side power shades, comfort access, rear heated seats, front active & ventilated seats...

Wow, that twin turbo V-8 is amazing. After having an '07 750iL, it's hard to believe BMW could make a more comfortable car...well they did

Back to BMW...Freude am Fahren!

Thank you. I think it is too Honestly, I think the rear is better looking than the front (the new taillights at night are so stunning and unique). I know the front end will grow on me, it's just the biggest double kidney grill (and the most vertical and in your face) since like the 1930's!! He he he

The interior leather, wood and plastics are actually so high quality, it's hard to stop touching them! The ceramic controls package is awesome. If I would have ordered the car myself, I know I would not have paid $650 extra...but wow, they feel great & I'm happy to have them!

Thanks I will, when we get some sunshine...to show the great colour. Right now in the gray dampness, it just looks like regular metallic gray!

Is your new 7 Series good, do you like it / love it? We also have a 2010 M6 Cabrio (and knock/touch wood)...not one issue, mechanical or electrical. Hoping my new 750i will be as trouble free as the M6.

Kool. Wie spannend! Welche Farbe hast du bestellt? Oh, sorry...vielleicht kein Deutsch (Ich hab' den Name Hans gesehen)!

What colour and options did you order? I've only had it 1 day...and so far it is so phenomenal. Zero buyer's remorse, or wishing I had got other options or colours. Most basic controls are so easy and intuitive...but the iDrive and voice controls, Navi, phone, entertainment will give you LOTS and LOTS of options and hours and hours and hours of extra features if you want to spend the time.

What is SO, SO cool is that in iDrive, under settings, in Vehicle Info...the ENTIRE Owner's manual is downloaded! You can even search by name, Alphabet category or even symbols and pictures. It is mind blowingly cool!

BMW recommends the Apple iPhone as one of the most compatible phones for the Bluetooth. My salesman paired mine flawlessly and my address book loaded immediately. Sometimes though when starting the car, the phone pairs, but not the address book, and it says phone not compatible with the BMW system (even though the Navi screen says Adam's iPhone paired). Little odd. I will check my iPhone settings, or ask my sales guy.

HVAC is amazing, efficient, quiet, strong and even. Controls could not be easier or better!

Leather, wood and plastics used are above and beyond I have ever seen or had. The nappa leather in my car is shockingly soft and buttery smooth.

Here's a quick picture I snapped yesterday on the way home (in the gray, damp weather):
