Every window has multiple scratches (exterior side) and they are very deep scratches.

I had a big scratch on my 4.8is, and i think that was because of the TINT.

For some reason if the windows are tinted they seem to rub against something inside, when you roll the windows up and down.

So i guess that could be it.

On my current E70 when i roll the windows up ir down i hear a little sound, and if i don't fix it soon enough i might get a scratch on this one as well.

I think it could be the sand as well, you might not realize but, send does stick on the window from the outside, and when you sometimes roll the windows up or down that helps the little scratch as well.

Your windows might need some adjastment

Scratches don't just happen. If you don't let anyone else in your car, then you must have caused the one on the nav screen. Either that or it was done by your detailers and you just didn't notice it until now. Not sure about the scratches on the windows. Who knows what happens to your car when you are not around, like in a parking lot. Also, with as much sand as you have over there, I wouldn't be completely surprised that something could have been caught up in your detailers sponge, towel, chamois or whatever else they may touch your car with or if some debris was stuck on the sill of your window and when you rolled it down, voila.

.... surprised no one else said this yet, but the scratches look horizonal (on last photo), they would be vertical if it was from rolling the window down (second look pic 1 and 2 look vertical), It looks exactly like some one dryed your car with a towel that had a rock in it or sand

as for the screen I would never touch it will anything, just spray clean with compressed air or at the most gently wipe it with microfiber lens wipe, you get from eye glasses or just buy 1

....a little story about cleaning nav screen, I started cleaning my screen at the begining with a very soft brush worked great but still manged to barely scratch it (can only see it if sunlight hits it prefectly) the screen has a very thin anti-reflective coating and that is what is being scratched.....i think there is a thread here that talks about buffing the reflective coating off to remove scraches

Thanks, I will look into the buffing solution.

As for the windows, If it was a one time thing then I would agree with you 100% that a rock or something damaged it possibly while cleaning the car. But I don't think that is the case here (might be, not sure..).

Pictures 1 & 2 look definitely like grit being stuck in the felt guides at the top of the door which will scrath the glas as you raise or lower the window.

Picture 3 looks like it was caused by grit on the wiper blade.

Hard to tell exactly from the windshield photo, but that may have been debris trapped between the wiper and the windshield. You live in really dusty condition. I would sort of expect this type of thing to happen.

its impossible to keep the car scratch free. just turn a blind eye and enjoy the car. otherwise you will just stress yourself out.
