It will be interesting to see how that works out. Hard to imagine too many police departments paying much of a premium for vehicles with the current economic condition of most local governments.
Maybe a Senator from Indiana can get some stimulus funds pointed to support the purchase of these vehicles. Otherwise, I don't see much of a market when Fords are available at a likely much lower price: New Ford police cruiser to get EcoBoost | MNN - Mother Nature Network |

An associate of mine was at the press event. His comments were:
" Lots of advancd law enforcement tech in the car beyond the diesel engine. They said they have 13,000 orders to date; first car rolls off the assembly line in about 36 months if all goes well."
