I paid $607 all-in for installation at the Performance Center. A dealer quoting $1,100 for installation alone is ripping you off. Probably a nice bonus for the SA. Somehow I doubt that it takes 4 times the labor at a dealer vs at the center. Though maybe the PC uses "training" labor.

Book time is 4.5 hours and that is what I paid at the BMW dealer.

$1100 would be about right for parts + labor, maybe they were quoting you for that?
