Diesel Engine Clatter Part II

I purchase my 35d back in December. Very cold time in frigid Minnesota. The diesel noise didn't bother me at all.

Fast forward to the Spring and the "balmy" 60s here. The clatter seems to be worse now and I'm really surprised how much I hear even when the X5 is warm. I'm trying to figure out if it's the change in the spring diesel formula or if the X5 gets louder as it breaks in.

I'm on the fence now with the clatter and the frozen winter urea, actually considering purchasing the new turbo gas model.

Any ideas on why the clatter seems worse now?
