![]() That is the side view camera. It should be the same as the 7 series one, also mounted on the bumper. The top view cameras are mounted on the mirrors. Thanks for posting the X6 35i info on the side view camera too. We might need to talk to the dealership about that since we did order a X6 with ZTP and want to keep the side view camera.

Inacal the side view cameras(5DK) are in the front bumper, and when activated they show a split screen view of either side of the front bumpers. Ideal for blind corners.
The side cameras with top view (5DL) is now part of the tech package with the standard rear view camera. They are located on the side mirrors and using software, all 3 images (rear and both side views) create the illusion of a "top view". There are youtube and official bmw videos of these camera systems in use. |
