How to tell if you have premium sound?

I know this sounds ridiculous but I am about to order another X5 and I can't remember if my current 35d has premium sound. Is there any way to tell? I do have a 6 disc dvd changer, is this on all cars or just with premium sound? Thanks.

If you have tweeters in your doors next to the mirrors you have it. They are blank on cars that have standard Audio..

Even the standard audio has tweeters in the door, next to the mirror.
The best way to find is, press the iDrive controller while music is playing. Navigate to Tone and if you can see equalizer settings, then its premium sound.

KmanOz is right, standard sound has the grates that make it appear as if there are tweeters in the pillars but they are empty. I just realized that after having my 2010 for 5 months.

You know you don't have premium sound if your system sounds terrible. Premium sound is the one thing I regret not getting in my car when I ordered it.

Not sure what exactly you guys are referring to. I upgraded the standard audio in my 08 X5 myself and I had to take out a driver and a tweeter from each door.

I should have been more clear I know that the 2010 doesn;t have tweeters. I can't speak to the 07-09 models.

If you click down the idrive down while on a song title, you can go into Tone. In there if you have EQ settings and Surround, then you have premium sound.
