How to remove the Center Wheel Emblem without Removing the Wheel
I seem to recall some discussion earlier about removing the wheel center cap emblems with a conclusion that the only good way is to take the wheel off.
Well, here's another way.
(1) Get yourself a suction cup. It doesn't have to be very large, the one from my radar detector was an inch in diameter or less. Very flexible is good. Hard ware stores sell them, or you can borrow one from your radar detector windshield mount.
(2) The suction cup will not work on the emblem "as-is," since they are not perfectly smooth (the chrome lines are raised, so the suction cup won't stick). So... smear it very liberally with petroleum jelly/Vaseline to ensure a good seal.
(3) Stick the messy suction cup on a clean emblem and use a pliers to pull straight-out slowly on the suction cup nub.
Viola! It should pop right off, without removing the wheel or prying at the edges.
