thanks ard, it would appear i'm boned on this. i haven't searched out the documentation yet but if that is accurate information on your part i suspect i have no opt out rights.
funny thing is, if i sell the car the maintenance plan goes to the next owner. compliments of BMW no doubt.  as the finance guy put it today.......... "it is what it is". it sure would have been nice if they had mentioned this when i bought it. ah well, buyer be wary.
