My last X5 came with 19's and could not get the extended fenders. Have to get them after the fact

Essentially, I drive quite a bit through the mountain passes here in Montana for spring/summer skiing. Because of this, I've done a summer/winter set on my previous X5s. On this car I'm departing from my usual 2 sets and going with the Conti ExtremeContact DWS all seasons. If you read the reviews on these, they are extremely good tires with very quiet ride and long tread life. I'll get close to 40-45k from these tires for the full term of the lease, and I'll switch back to the OEMs for lease return.

As far as camber/toe, do a search on these forums or the bimmerfest forums. Without going into too much detail, the X5s have a -1.5-2.5 camber (its the slanted // \\ look of the tires from the rear) setup that's done to give them better handling under aggressive cornering. This performance isn't needed unless you're on a racetrack and it comes at the expense of inner tread wear. All I'm doing is going towards the less negative camber, which will give me added tread life without any noticeable deterioration of cornering ability.

CarbonX5, I'm actually switching out my RFTs for non-RFTs along with an alignment to adjust the camber/toe. I won't even notice the performance loss, gain much better tread wear, and get much better ride quality in the switch.
Where did you find the Conti DWS tires? Tire Rack is out of them.

I think they were out of the 18/19" tires. When I ordered them 3 weeks ago, they had the 20".

This contradicts what is in the order guide linked in this thread. According to the order guide all non-M LCI X5s must order the 3rd row seat in order to get self leveling. I know this is a departure from the past when all V8s had self leveling. Does anyone know if this is correct?

Actually you are correct, I just checked the actual ordering guide, and it has a bullet at the bottom that explains it. You now only get the self leveling suspension standard in the X5M. If you order the 3rd row seating, you automatically get it in the other models.
