Leaving the X5
Well folks, I test drove the Porsche Panamera today and I fell in love with Porsche's new interior (though much less so with the looks of the Panamera).
I particularly liked the 4.3inch TFT in the instrument cluster and the fact that you can control it directly from the steering wheel. i.e. call up phone functionality, nav, tpm etc etc. Really really nice. Materials were really top notch and everything was very well laid out. I thought I would not like the buttons on the console, but they actually looks well laid out in person, and I found them to be quite functional. The 2011 Cayenne has an almost identical interior to the Panamera, and the Turbo is just a beast of a vehicle. I know the X5 M is also a fantastic option, but it just isn't doing it for me. I can't quite put my finger on why, but I cannot seem to get excited about it no matter how much I want to. I've been in the X5 since 2007, and I think it is an awesome vehicle. I think part of my desire is to have something new and different from another X5. I'll likely do a 3 year lease and then come back to the X when it goes to the new styling in 2013(?) (assuming I like it!) Anyway, any last thoughts, advice, suggestions from you all before I pull the trigger?
