I was about a 1/2 hour east of Baker having filled up in LV, so I pulled a lot of hills and coasted down a lot, but usually doing 79-80 avoiding trucks.

I've had this photo up twice now and no one has ever asked about the triangle.

Took delivery last Thursday at performance center. Great experience and worth the two extra weeks of waiting for a spot. Got "stuck" with an X5 M for the track part. Make sure to get a few hot laps around the track in an M5 with Donnie.

Congrats on your order!

Diesel all the way! I love mine very much.

And if you are worried about locating diesel fuel you can program your car to find all the diesel stations in your area. I programmed button number 6 to this for me. Never had a problem locating fuel with this enabled.

Can I ask what the selling price was before the $4500 eco credit? Did your dealer come close to invoice price? (you can PM me if you don't want to post )

Thanks

Red Triangle

Warning indicator for service or other issue that needs to be addressed. This one was for the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) was due for flush/refill. Operating Manual said the warning would show up around 12K miles and it did. Had 999 miles to drive before the vehicle would not start unless the DEF was serviced.

The DEF is covered under maintenace, right?

How often does it need to be added? Every 12K? That's earlier/more frequent than a normal service?

Looking to come back

I have been regretting the decision I made about 5 months ago to buy a MB GL350. Seeing the visual of the refreshed exterior, coupled with the new interior options, is pushing me to take the hit on getting out of my lease (no penalty break, but interest paid up front) and coming back to the X5 (I had a 2007 e70 X5). My wife and I opted for the GL350 based on the extra space in the boot, and the better option for seating 6, but honestly, I (we) just can't stand it. It has utterly amazing amounts of turbo lag, as well as the worst handling and sense of largesse that you could believe. I think above all else, it is the handling that gets me.

I was on BMW.ca yesterday and realized that they are now allowing Canadians to order the sport package with 20" rims from the factory, which we could not do before. I am not sure if US buyers have always had that option?

So my questions to anyone with the 2011, do you notice any turbo lag?

I did notice turbo lag on 3.5i, which is my I opted for 3.5d. Then again, my current 2 cars are 335i and X5 4.8, so I am spoiled
