Carbon looks nice. I've gotten away from wood on all my cars for last several years. I ordered my X5 with the brushed aluminum trim which I really like instead of wood. Both my Audi's have interior carbon trim pieces (standard OEM option)

I like the carbon. Where did you get the carbon material from. I would like to do this to the bubbling trim of my M3.

Reminds me of what kids do to their rice racer Civics. But, to each their own.

The Carbon looks excellent to me. I think your application of the 3M Carbon is very impressive and professional. Can you tell us more about how you cut and applied this product.

+1 Carbon can look really good and really bad.. depending on how it is done. Your application looks nice. Does it have a matte like finish.. kinda like the feel of the carbon leather in the M's?

Wood is nice too. But I would have gone with carbon if it were available.

Where did you buy it and how hard was it to install?

the carbon looks nice, only place I personally dont think you should have done it was the steering wheel as I think its a tad too much (personal opinion)

It defiantly has its benefits one of them being you dont the sun reflecting of your trim pieces into your eyes at certain angles.

but as the others say..i think it makes it look more sporty than cozy

Yes, I applied my self. I spend on that totally 4 hours for interior and 2 hours for steering wheel.
Steering wheel, Yes, plastic start peeling. Now looks more better.

Where? Here in mine motherland - Lithuania
I think you also can find this material in your own country.
Here in Lithuania, this material cost ~29 EUR/34 $/ 1m2 . For changing wood to Carbon enough 1m2.

Yes, this 3M carbon aplication is matte and even rugged.
Sure, it possible to spray lacquer on this application, but for me, matte finish looks more better.
