New E70 Owner with tire/mag questions!

Hey guys I'm anxiously taking delivery of my 2007 BMW X5 3.0SI tonight. My wife and I are pretty anxious! its Monaco blue, with camel int.with luxurypack, tech pack, dark bamboo trim and rear dvd.

Although the only thing kinda buggin me is the wheels. it comes with the standard 18" mags. I've been thinking about upgrading to the 20" Y-spoke and get some meaty 315's on the rear! BUT my question is, since my x5 doesnt have the flares will the 315's stick out? I definetly dont want that!

Has anybody else put 20's on their 3.0 with 315's on the back? any pics?

thanks in advance!
Nick

I put flares on mine a couple of weeks ago, but haven't taken the pictures yet. But here is a picture without the flares, they stick out, but not much.

I kept my 18s for trips to the mountains, but the wheels totally redefine this car.

want new tips next:

with the 18s

I've seen a number of pics with 315's in the rear without flares and I say get the flares... Then I saw one in person at the dealer (in the showroom) without flares and it didn't look so bad in real life.

Best thing to do is get your new wheels and tires first, see how you like it and if the look bugs you or not. If not then great, leave it as-is and you've saved $300. If it doesn't sit right with you then order the flares, you'll make it through a week without them if you need to
