Had a short drive - 65K$ turd (when it comes to driving) with many interior parts obviously from Highlander, Camry and other Toyota vehicles.
Did not have any desire whatsoever to drive it for longer period.
Does not have any advantages over X5 (except maybe for better 4x4 offroad).

Do not even think taking it "to the limit" as you suggested in that other thread - you will find the limit is very short and end up on the roof in some ditch.

The only way you will get the real feel is to drive it and if you like it then buy it. When it comes to my money peoples opinion doesn't matter as much as what I like about it. Everyone will have their opinion some valid some are not. Each person has a set of unique "likes" that makes them love one certain SUV over the other. Drive them both and then make a decision.

The GX460 is kinda boring to be, actually really boring. I have owned the older model. I liked the LX470 when I had it as it served its purpose as a cruiser not a sports cruiser. It was heavy, slow and boring but it was a nice cruiser for trips. The Porsche Cayenne GTS was a fun driver but in the end I went back to BMW. I still love the Turbo 997 but will get a GT3 RS as its how I like to drive.

Take them all for a spin and make a list of likes and dislikes based on your own opinions and it will make it easier.

Thanks all for your comments, i have decided not to go ahead with the GX and am keeping the 4.8is for now, will look into a newer X5 or a cheaper Cayenne in the future.

Didn't realize you had 4.8is. I drove that beast a few years ago - loved it.
If you went for GX, you would regret it every time you sit behind the wheel.

Yes it is great to drive, my weekend dash on CT 15 at high speed, made me fall in love all over again, maybe i am too concerned abt reliability (nothing major is wrong yet at 81k) which is why i was looking at Lexus.
