Yes, the cargo cover is standard - it was likely removed by your dealer to give to an angry 35i owner, and they hoped you wouldn't notice.

Contrary to the above poster - it isn't standard on *all* the X5s - the 35i doesn't get one anymore due to cost cutting, but it's still standard on the 35d and the 50i.
