What Delays?

I just called the 800# and spoke with a customer service rep inquiring about the status of my order. He said that the estimated completion date is this Saturday the 7th.

My dealer placed the order on the 26th of July and it started production on July 30th (my wife’s birthday). With everything I've been hearing in reference to production delays on the X5, I must say that I'm pretty impressed that it's moving along so efficiently.

I’m thinking that at this rate, even conservatively thinking, that I’ll be taking delivery here in New Jersey the week of the 23rd. I don’t that’s an unrealistic ETA?

What are you getting? The only delays have been on the 35d because of popularity (the $4500 rebate will do that).

You just got lucky with your dealer who had a order slot that was almost slated for production - nice timing.

Many dealers have sold most of their 35d slots, so it takes a month or so to get into production. Took me 5 weeks, and now it's taking 2.5 weeks to go on a train from SC to CA.

Ah, I turn off signatures. It was fine when it was just text but pictures etc make them too annoying.
