I understand that GT generates some very polarized response - either you love it or hate it. But it drives pretty well. Though you are aware of its weight, it handles beautifully.

One thing I really love about the GT is the black panel dash and the interior. The dash is completely black apart from 4 partial rings when off. When you open the door, the numbers light up and the rings are completed. The lower part is a high res color TFT display. Really looks great. Wish they had included updating the orange-dot-matrix display in the X5 when doing the facelift.

I *really* liked the interior of the GT. The exterior didn't do it for me, and I just didn't need such a large vehicle.

Wonder why they haven't done a x6 35d yet.

Agreed that the interior is fantastic, I love the new steering wheel controls.

So, I guess my '01 e53 with 105K miles that still looks good is like a Cougar.

If you've had her since new you should get her something from China (eBay or electronics?) this year, and something aluminum next year (Dinan or AC Schnitzer?)... just saying.

Next year my baby needs something leather accordingly, maybe a shift knob, steering wheel or comfort seats...

Yeah had her since new-our 10 year is coming up in February---let's just hope the aluminum gift isn't something mechanical.

For leather I was thinking some leather chaps-- but yeah if it's for the ride then a leather shift knob.

Tahoe and OP,
What are your thoughts on the Vantage? I've been considering getting one as my next car. Our new X5 is for the wife. I've been looking at the Tesla S, Fisker Karma, and the Aston Martin Vantage. I've always loved the Aston Martin ever since I saw the spy shots of it.

If I have anything to do with chaps it'd better be a hot girl wearing them and only them! (drank with a few tonight that's fit the bill!)
