BMW Individual roof rails Aluminium

Hi Everyone! I have a 2011 Carbon Black xDrive35i Sport Activity with M Sport Package on order. This comes with the BMW Individual roof rails in Aluminium color. Has anyone changed these for the Black ones available on the X5M? Is this an expensive after delivery change since there is no ability to order in black?

I thought you could get what you wanted. It does say "Individual"!

Changing them is possible, but labor intensive! The headliner has to be dropped to access the bolts in the roof panel. That means A, B, C, and D pillar trim has to be removed... Look inside then think about it.
