Exclamation Sept connected drive delayed

BMW released an update yesterday indicating that the connected drive update is officially pushed out to October for X5/X6 models. My CA showed me the bulletin on his computer screen today. I'm hoping that will change, bur I doubt it

Not sure if I'll delay my build until then.

There were rumors about this, makes sense - they're staging the factories, Sept for Euro factories, Oct for US.

Bummer for people who delayed till Sept just for the updates.

I am glad I didn't wait. My 550i end of lease was mid October. Because I was near the mileage limit, I didn't want to wait until almost November for delivery, especially since I have 3000 miles of trips planned before then, 2000 in a couple of weeks.

I have heard/read the same thing. I believe the update is pushed back until week 40 production, which is actually the week of October 10th. I have postponed my X5 until then. I have waited this long, what's another month or two. No hurry.

Does anyone have a copy of the official bulletin with the updated release date?

The following is from the official BMW Canada 2011 Product Planning Bulletin
Subject: Advanced On-Board use of Mobile Phones and Music Players
BMW Canada Inc. is pleased to announce significantly enhanced mobile phone (i.e. Blackberry, iPhone, etc.) and music player (i.e. iPod, etc.) functionality all of which will be managed by the iDrive controller. Effective as of September production (October production for X5 and X6 models), this gives the BMW driver and passenger the ultimate in user experience and productivity.
