I sold my '08 Range Rover Sport for an '07 X5 4.8 a little over 1 yr ago. The RR is by far, the best looking SUV out there. However, I had nothing but problems with mine. The nav and electronics would go black for no reason. The bluetooth connectivity was terrible. The "cooler storage" box under the front arm rest is useless and doesn't keep anything cold (room temperature at best). The X5 has 3rd row seats which I needed and has more power (and worse gas mileage). Lastly, dealer service on the RR was terrible - not even close to a luxury experience; long wait to get in for service; no loaner cars. BMW service here is fantastic.

Nice ride. Looks great. I am sure someone is going to let you know that it is not an x5 or a BMW at least they let me know my Lexus is not a BMW.

I love this Top Gear episode: YouTube - Tank vs Rangie challenge pt 1 - Top Gear - BBC

I think the RR Sport is the most beautiful of all the lux SUV's, but, like everybody, I would be worried about the reliability.

Congratulations and enjoy it in good health!

Good luck with the Range! I, too, HAD an '08 RR Sort, HSE. Identical to the one you show in the pictures. I loved the look of it, but found the interior not as put together as the x5. Oh yeah, had to have the tire pressure module replace at 7k miles. Otherwise, fairly reliable vehicle from my experience. I will say that the brake dust was horrendous! The wheels aren't very friendly to cleaning the dust off either. The pet peeve that got me the most was the lack of the integrated audio and nav system. The bluetooth was terrible and those on the other end of the line always complained about it. Did I mention you can't input destinations once the vehicle is in motion!? Regardless of my gripes, it was a nice vehicle and to each their own...GOOD LUCK and enjoy the new ride!

Agreed... I was originally after a RRSC, went on the forums and half the people loved theirs, and the other half said, "I don't know if I like it, it's always in the shop."

Congrats though GAM3OVR, enjoy it. It is a sharp SUV.

Congrats! I too think the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport are beautiful looking cars. A friend of mine and I both bought 2006 RR Sports at the same time. Mine was a NIGHTMARE, hers was almost perfect for her 4 year lease. My Nav screen and electonics would black out for no reason, AC would go warm while in reverse (Really), error messages, air suspension issues, would not start...

My 2008 Full Size Range Rover was better, but still a disappointment. Also, Range Rover Service was HORRIBLE. They seem very untrained, parts are never available, and if they gave me a loaner, it was a Saturn or a Pontiac Sunfire!! Not that BMW is the best, but their Service is leaps and bounds better. Best service ever was Lexus!!

Yup, the Range Rover looks great but the sport was, and still is a disaster. Drives like a tractor. Reliability from hell and interior electronics from the 1980's. In fairness they did sort out the interior for 2010 though.
