As for a realistic view of asking $1800 for the 209 day-one take-offs? I found someone who was charging $800 for the same kind of set in December 2009 (on xbimmers). At $1800, you're going to have to find an E70 owner who is really in love with 209 wheels (18"??), or who really needs winter wheels/tires now!. dencoop, I am not doubting your savvy on such matters, as I've seen you go through BMWs like water on another forum, so more power to you if you can eek some nice cash out of them wheels. THAT'S HOT!
I love how the wheels look on the E70 LCI. Makes the car look meaner. Congrats Aqua! Your going to get lots of long stares and tons of compliments. Keep the mods coming. -DaRip

They're staggered. I could only find 1 vendor who had a staggered set and luckily he's local to me so I didn't have to pay for shipping. I'll PM you the info.

Aqua, Looks great! How do you like the smaller-screened idrive? Any pics of it? I'm waiting for mine to be delivered next month.

Aqua Bliss, here's a photo of a debadged rear so you can see what it would look like. Sorry for the 'extra dimension' of the shade. I like the clean look without the gigantic X5 on the back. Suprisingly, I found that the X5 on the rear was easier to remove than the Xdrive on the side.
I do have I have a reminder what kind of car I have in case I forget though .

Thanks GO! You know what I noticed after I saw these in real life is that they do look significantly different than the OEM x6m wheels that you have have on your ride. These have much more of a shine to them. They're still polished like yours, but the OEM's look more grey where as these look more aluminum like (even though it's not an aluminum finish).
At first when I saw them I was taken back and thought the OEM's looked much better but I'm getting used to the finish on them now, plus I could buy 2 (or maybe 3!) of these sets for the price of 1 OEM set

Actually I do have navigation on mine, it's still an option for the "standard" version. I think there is a member on there "Dinan2005" or Dinan(something) who has a 2011 with the small screen. If you can get a hold of him he can probably get you some pics and feedback.

Aqua,
I think its the overall style thats very nice. The finish changes after a rain storm or few days due to the dirt on the roads/brake dust. Baastads!! The OEMs have a polished finish on the face which is a pain to keep clean, oh well. Bottom-line, another example of how Rep.s can achieve an awesome outcome as well. nuff said. You putting spacers on? Also, did you change the mesh in front (couldn't tell from the pictures), its actually not hard to do.... |
