 Shows how much I know about the new models. But I've owned 2 diesel trucks and a diesel motorhome, so I do have some reference (including buying diff fluid in a 5-gallon container!).
Next thing you'll tell me is that there isn't a dipstick on some newer BMWs. Nah, doing something like that would be retarded. 
Regardless, I agree that 24 miles is not a short commute. A short commute is the one I used to have: 1.8 miles.
