Best looking 20'' and 21'' wheel? // Opinions

Hey all,

I just wanted to get your opinions on the best looking wheels for our car. Mine came with the 20'' 214 style, but I'm not entirely convinced of the look. I was wondering if there was a consensus here on a wheel that really elevated the look (and hopefully performance) of the x5. I'm not a fan of "baller" wheels with fat lips. Looking forward to reading your comments as well as seeing some pictures.

Cheers,

I think the 215's are a nice looking wheel and a bit of a step up from the 214's and also are 21's.

I liked my 20" 214's a whole lot more once I had them changed to a "metallic ferric grey". It was well worth it. (Picture attached)

I already had a set of OEM 18" for my winter wheels so I couldn't justify another set of wheels when I got tired of the stock 214's.

If I had to do it all over, I would make the 20" 214's my winter wheels and buy other OEM 20" for summer wheels. I like the X5M wheels (style 299M) in this pic but they are not compatible with the X5.

These are your options, if you are going 20" OEM route. I prefer wheels which are easier to clean, as I clean them myself...less complicated the design the better for me.

Good stuff, thanks guys. I'm liking the 215s so far (how much do they weigh though?). Do you all have any non-OEM suggestions?

Cheers,
No sure on the weight, there are lot's of reps out there for 215's, you see them all over ebay and detail-king is a forum vendor and quite often has groups buys on the 215 style rep's, so you should be able to get some feedback on them from people that have purchased them here.

This was his last GB for 22's, but he has 21's also I believe http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-related-...g-749-set.html

Thanks again for the replies. To clarify the non-OEM, I meant like BBS, HRE, etc. So far, I've only seen some Breyton Spirits, and that's not really my style.

20 and 21 inch wheels will REDUCE performance.

For some reason people think that bigger wheels mean better performance, without limit. Not true. especially on the X5, the sidewalls are needed to allow the contact patch to conform with the road as the body rolls....
